Many of our churches will be holding specific collections for the people of Ukraine over the coming days. Alternatively, you can click the button below to visit the All We Can website where you can make an online donation.
All We Can and The Methodist Church in Britain has launched an emergency appeal in response to the crisis in Ukraine. As communities face violence, upheaval, and the trauma of war, All We Can is providing humanitarian assistance to people in desperate need.
The Circuit Leadership Team has adopted the All We Can Ukraine Appeal as the circuit’s Lent initiative, which will occur in parallel to the ‘Life on Breadline’ study course.
The circuit appeal was launched at the Ash Wednesday Circuit Service. We are also encouraging churches within the circuit to organise their own collections for All We Can during Lent.
Individuals wanting to donate to the appeal can do so by visiting:
You can also donate by calling 020 7467 5132 or by sending a cheque to All We Can, Ukraine Emergency Appeal, 25 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 5JR, UK.
In addition to donating to the appeal please share this prayer, prepared by the Methodist Church, for the situation in Ukraine:
Holy and Gracious God
We pray for the people of Ukraine and the people of Russia; for their countries and their leaders.
We pray for all those who are afraid; that your everlasting arms hold them in this time of great fear.
We pray for all those who have the power over life and death; that they will choose for all people life, and life in all its fullness.
We pray for those who choose war; that they will remember that you direct your people to turn our swords into ploughshares and seek for peace.
We pray for leaders on the world stage; that they are inspired by the wisdom and courage of Christ.
Above all, Lord, today we pray for peace for Ukraine.
And we ask this in the name of your blessed Son.
Lord have mercy.
Thank you for your support.
